The Internet Blackout

So I'm sure some of you today saw the Internet blackout that was going on with Google, Reddit, Wordpress,Wikipedia and many more.. Whats it mean?? Well lets take a look at it.  There are two laws that the U.S. government are trying to pass, Protect IP Act, PIPA for short and  Stop Online Piract Act, SOPA for short .  Now what these two laws do are really mess up the internet as we know it. Lets say that PIPA passes, Websites that the government deems  guilty of copyright infringement, they will force your internet provider to block these pages from you. Any website that has a link to said website will face legal action as well. Including and not limited to search engines, directories, and blog sites. Also they will force advertising service to pull all add from those pages. Now lets look at SOPA.  This bill basically work along side PIPA to act as a Black List for Mega corporations and the U.S. government, so they can pick and chose who get paid. IMAGINE THAT . So if after all that you still wonder how that effects you?? Well you know that cute video on you tube you love of that hot chick singing  that Katy Perry song you love. Well no more that's against the rules. Or the video you wanted to post of you doing that killer version of Tainted Love that you hope is going to make your band huge.....nope sorry. How about this Blog ? Sure it will stay up as long as I don't post anything bad about the government, or any large corporations. Also this would stop any site from opening that the government feel could one day online piracy could occur. I mean come on is this for real? It's sound like something out of a Sci-Fi movie where no one has the right to do anything. Am I crazy???? I feel like sometimes I'm crazy. I watched a documentary just now called Inside Job. Now keep in mind that there are parts of this movie that I don't understand, but the parts that I did understand really pissed me off. I get so mad when I think that all I have is my common sense and still I can see whats wrong with this country. How in the world can we allow these bank people to give million dollar bonus while the people they are screwing are losing there houses, cars, and most likely there credit rating for the rest of there lifes? Its like the bailout, they give the banks millions to save them from  going bankrupt and then the bank gives them self a million dollar bonus.... Hows that work? That's like me giving someone $800 for there rent and I see them the next day out buying a new Xbox 360. I mean how mad would you be? But yet we let it happen. As long as people like that run Washington things will never get better, and how long can it go on before it all breaks down?  

Pay Day

Lets look for just a second at one of the problems that are facing america right now..MONEY. In the United States minimum wage is 7.25 an hour, that's 15080 dollars a year before taxes, insurance, social security and whatever else comes out of your check a week. The last time the minimum wage was raised was in 2007. But dig this in, 2007 a gallon of milk $3.09 a gallon of milk in 2011 $4.99.  How in the world does this compute to anyone? Now lets take Congress salaries in 2007 $160,000  that works out to about 77 dollars an hour, an in 2011 $174,000 that works out to 84 dollars an hour. That's a $7.00 dollar an hour raise for congress in 4 years and nothing for the people who work there asses off to keep this country going. And what would they say if you ask them about it.... Who cares about $7.00... I'll tell you who the people who are still making $7.00 an hour on minimum wage. Tell you what if we made the people who pass these laws, live by them, I bet minimum wage would get raised. Trust me I think people who work hard should get paid for there work, but what makes work hard? I could and would make the decision that these guys make for a far lot less. Are they tough decisions sure, but they become easier if you make the right ones first. Do you think that if maybe you raised minimum wage say a dollar for starters in your district and when you needed to raise taxes a penny to pass that school levy that it would make it a little easier to swallow. But instead lets give congress a raise nothing to the avg. person and then ask for a tax hike for the schools. Then when that fails and they close another school lets blame the people for not voting in a tax hike.  I'm no politician or economical genius but I like to think my common sense makes Cents.......

Holiday Cheer

So yesterday I wrote about some kids and there destruction of Christmas decorations .....BA humbug ... So today I'm gonna try and cheer us up. Watching the news this morning I saw a story on the Marines helping out with Toys For Tots. It was a very nice story, the kids all seamed genuinely excited to be getting toys. I also read a story today about a rash of people going into Kmart stores and paying for other peoples layaway and carts of toys........ That's all so nice.........then there's a story about someone robbing an armored truck outside a crowded Toy R Us... Then my real world brain kicks in.  A 30% increase in the kids on the Toys For Tots list this year. How many of thoses kids parents are just low life's looking for hand outs so they can spend there money on booze, drugs, gambling or whatever?  Then I start to think about the other story... Why is it only Kmart's? Is Kmart sending people out to do all this for publicity, to maybe get a little TV time. So people start saying well that never happens at Walmart....... Just one more Holiday cheer story for today. I work as a repair technician, (lets just say at an arcade for adults) as I finish the repairs on a game today before I'm even finish two guest both stand behind me as I'm  working wanting to know if they could play it. I told them as soon as I'm done. As soon as I close the door on the game they start to argue over who was there first, the "lady"  pushes me out of the way so she can sit down and piss away her money, and all I could think in my head was MERRY CHRISTMAS .....................

Christmas Vandalism

So I saw I story on the news this morning that had two teenage kids with ball bats knocking the crap out of someones Christmas display.. Now I don't know about the rest of you but that to me is just down right LOW. Watching the video all I could think was why would you want to ruin someone Christmas.  Then I thought wow what crappy parents these kids must of had or have. I love the holidays it reminds me of simple times when my brother and me couldn't wait to get up to see what Santa had brought. So then I started feeling sorry not for the people who's stuff they had destroyed,  but for those kids.

    Sorry you two I sure Christmas is a sore time for you when families are together doing family things. People are showing there love for one another. People are happy and cheerful. And then there are Assholes like you two who probably don't have a family or anyone who cares about you. So you figure if I can't be happy no one should be. Well guess what I'll bet you those people who's stuff you destroyed still have a great Christmas you know why? Because they have something I'm guessing you'll never have LOVE.

I'll Bet Ya

Hey Mitt Romney I'll bet you 10,000 that you could not live off my salary which is just over double that. With that being said who cares what he said do you really think that makes him any less fit to run this out of control train wreck we call a country. Does this make him out of touch with us "common folk" ? No it just makes him real, what you don't think the rest of those guys could throw down 10k on a bet? Yeah right at least he is not trying to act like he just lives pay check to pay check like the rest of us. Do I like Mitt?.. No not really but do I like any politician?.. No not really.
